Craig has sought to gain postgraduate clinical training and insight to treat clients with advanced techniques utilising the various offerings from evidenced-based and expanded discoveries through neuroscience. You can read more about Craig’s journey around this developing part of his practice here.

Craig specializes in a blend of approaches that can effectively and appropriately treat traumatic stress. This includes being certified in Brainspotting, using EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, and body-based mindfulness techniques that strengthen relationships with self and others.

Craig’s background in working with neuro diverse clients stems from his experience with championing, with his wife, to get his daughter’s needs met from the school systems. This included a diagnosis his daughter received at age six of Aspergers (now labelled Level 1 Autism) This opened his world to brain differences with profound acceptance.

Consequently, this path led him to years of post-graduate training in working with autistics and ADHD including being certified as a PEERS® certified facilitator. He also has offered training to other professionals internationally around the connection between trauma and autism.

Craig developed the first PEERS® program in Denver, Colorado in 2016 before moving his practice to Ireland in 2020. After eight years of seeing the programme’s effectiveness he continues to strive and offer this evidence-based intervention to help enrich young people’s social lives.

He sees counselling as an opportunity to overcome an obstacle and link with other resources to generate an action plan to move past the hurt or stagnation that life inevitably presents.
