Brainspotting and EMDR Trauma Intensives
Transformative Healing with 2-to-4-Day Trauma-Focused Intensives
Accelerate your recovery and unlock your highest potential with our intensive 2-to-4-day Brainspotting/EMDR Intensives.
Specifically designed to release deeply embedded trauma, neutralize active triggers, and activate expansive personal growth. By bypassing the limitations of traditional talk therapy, these focused sessions utilize the revolutionary Brainspotting Expansion Model to map where trauma resides in your nervous system. This targeted approach combined with other techniques like EMDR allows you to process years of emotional pain in just a few days, clearing the path for lasting neurological freedom and resilience.
Recent research (2020 to 2024) has highlighted the benefits and positive impacts of intensive frameworks to treat a variety of trauma.
- 52% no longer met criteria for PTSD after one month.
-
68% no longer had PTSD after 6 months
-
73% demonstrated significant improvement on standardised PTSD measures
-
Dramatically improves treatment completion compared to talk therapy up to 85-92% accross many studies
- Outcomes have shown sustainability and continued progress from 12 month follow ups
Why Choose an Intensive Format?
- Rapid progress: Condenses months of weekly therapy into a focused 2-to-4-day container. Research supports faster symptom relief than traditional weekly therapy.
- Deep focus: Eliminates weekly interruptions to maintain therapeutic momentum. For clients who are motivated to immerse themselves versus spreading their attention over longer periods of time.
- Scheduling conflicts or time constraints: Clients can dedicate therapy to weeks rather than months. In addition, online formats have shown to be as successful as in person sessions with this model allowing saved time from reducing travel.
- Sustained safety: Provides dedicated space to completely process complex trauma.

Day 1: Foundation, Assessment & Identifying Key Patterns
The first day focuses on creating a supportive foundation and developing a clearer understanding of the experiences, triggers, and patterns you would like to address.
Clinical Intake and Assessment
We review your history, current concerns, goals, and body-based responses to help identify potential areas of focus for the intensive.
Exploring Negative Narratives
We may begin identifying shame, self-criticism, and deeply held beliefs that continue to influence how you feel and respond.
Day 2: Processing Past Experiences & Protective Responses
The second day builds on the initial assessment by exploring past experiences, emotional responses, and the protective patterns that may have developed around them.
Addressing Limiting Beliefs
Brainspotting or EMDR may be used to explore distressing experiences and beliefs such as “I am unsafe” or “I am not enough.”
Working With Protective Parts
Responses such as perfectionism, emotional numbing, avoidance, or hypervigilance are approached with curiosity rather than resistance. The goal is to understand how these patterns have attempted to protect you.
Days 3–4: Deeper Processing, Trigger Work & Integration
For longer intensives, the remaining days provide additional time to continue processing important areas and integrate what has emerged.
Working With Remaining Triggers
Sessions may focus on situations, memories, or body-based reactions that continue to create distress in daily life. Additionally, more time could be spent on assisting clients to work through burdens held in the protective parts that no longer serve the client productively.
Strengthening Internal Resources
The final phase may also support greater resilience, emotional flexibility, self-awareness, and connection to personal strengths. The use of an EMDR future template or an expansion frame in Brainspotting can offer an empowering final touch to the experience.
Integration and Next Steps
The intensive concludes with time to reflect on the experience, discuss continued support, and identify practical next steps.
